What types of services do you offer?

We aim to provide a comprehensive range of services, from helping you prepare for your trip to providing assistance once you are in Japan. The idea is simple: to make things easier for you so that you can make the most of your journey.

You can see the list of our services here, and if you need something else, just contact us and we will let you know whether we can arrange it.

What types of activities can you arrange?

It’s à la carte! Just tell us what you would like to do while you are in Japan. Some of the most popular activities include:

• manga classes

• calligraphy

• cooking classes (sushi, etc.)

• tea ceremony

• kimono experiences

• ikebana (flower arranging)

• Japanese language classes

Will I need a visa to go to Japan?

It depends on the length of your stay, its purpose and your nationality.

For example, if you would like to study Japanese for one year, you will most likely need a student visa.

For a stay of only three months, depending on your nationality, you may not need a visa at all.

Can I also enroll in a Japanese language school through you?

Yes. We can help you enroll in a Japanese language program lasting anywhere from one day to two years, or even longer!

How long can I study Japanese for?

We generally recommend studying for at least one month, and ideally three months if possible, so that you can really make the most of the experience. However, some schools offer programs lasting as little as two days.

If you would like to study for more than one year, you will most likely need a student visa.

We will, of course, explain the different options to you on a case-by-case basis once we know more about your plans.

I just want to study for fun and nothing too intensive. Do you have a course for me?

Yes, of course.

Some schools offer less intensive programs. We would probably guide you towards a course with a stronger focus on conversation and plenty of activities, for a more relaxed and dynamic learning experience.

Can you help me obtain a Working Holiday visa, Student visa or Cultural Activities visa?

Yes, of course. We can guide you through the process if you plan to attend a course at one of our partner schools.

For a Student visa or Cultural Activities visa, you will need to be sponsored by an eligible school or institution.

Are your services available throughout Japan?

It depends on the type of service. For example, not every activity is available in every city — although Tokyo offers a very wide range of options!

However, if you are looking for a specific activity or service in a particular city, we will do our best to arrange it for you.

How much do your services cost?

As our services are offered à la carte, we will provide you with a quote based on what you need.

For cultural activities and classes, you pay the prices charged by the organizations providing them — not one yen more — because those organizations pay us a commission.

Other services, such as translation or airport transfers, are provided directly by us and are therefore charged by YakaJapan.

We will also soon be offering packages that include a selection of services.

Why should I use your services?

We may be a little biased and this may sound somewhat immodest, but we believe you will appreciate having support throughout your entire project, from the preparation stage to your stay in Japan.

Our philosophy is simple: to offer comprehensive services that make things easier for you and help turn your stay in Japan into an unforgettable experience.

Can I contact my advisor at any time?

Yes. You can contact your advisor whenever you need to.

They may not always be able to reply immediately, especially at night, but you will have a direct contact you can reach whenever you need assistance.

Providing a friendly and personalized service is very important to us. Please note, however, that this support is provided remotely unless, of course, you have booked a guide.

If I am looking to buy something specific, can you help me with that too?

We cannot guarantee that we will be able to find exactly what you are looking for, but there is no harm in asking us!

If needed, we can even ship the item directly to your home so that you do not have to carry it around Japan. We can also help if you contact us from abroad after your trip — or even if you have never been to Japan.

Of course, we will provide you with a quote before purchasing the item on your behalf.
